MATSYA signifies reincarnation, hence staying true to the name the team at Matysa went around India to find those hidden recipes and present it to London in a new avatar. At Matsya we are reincarnating secret, traditional Indian recipes which have been forgotten or lost from the entire subcontinent. This is a brand new concept in London and our aim is to take you on an Indian Culinary Journey with our menu, you can try dishes that you have never tried before from across India in the heart of Mayfair. Our vision dates back centuries, in Hindu mythology Matsya, the fish, represents the beginning of life and a fresh start, at Matsya you will enjoy an intimate fine dining experience while you get transported to different parts of India with our unique dishes.

Founder & CEO
Founder & CEO of Matsya is an Entrepreneur Mr Vikkas Puri. He has over 25 years of experience managing businesses globally. He has been working as Managing Director of businesses in various industries. He is a Director of property and development businesses, Consultant in the field of construction, development, and investment and trustee of various charities such as Lions Club and others. He has vast experience in business management and strategy, sales, investment, marketing, and legal.
Chef Uttam Karmokar
Our Executive Chef Uttam Karmokar has over 25 years of experience in the Hospitality Industry. He worked with various 5-star hotels in India such as Imperial, Radisson, Le-Meridian, and in Dubai such as Jumeirah Beach Hotels or in the International Hotel in Muscat. His expertise is also European cuisine due to working in the restaurants Manre or Shalom Mediterranean Lounge Bar. Moving to London in 2018, he joined our team at Matsya as an Executive Chef to offer Londoners his skills, experience, expertise, presentation, and innovation of dishes that is clearly reflected in our cuisine.
Director of Operations
Our Director of Operations Mr Anil Rattan is the heart and soul of our Matsya Restaurant. He has over 40 years of experience in managing the day to day operations, sales, and marketing in the retail and food industry. His positive approach to people is admirable, his experiences are honorable. He started his own business at a very young age of 13 and continued as business owner of few food industry businesses till later age. Anil was always in the customer-focused industry. He joined our team at Matsya in 2018 and was one of the first members of the Matsya family.
